Dus na een nachtje lachen Kufstein met gratis plons in der See, richting Innsbruck, via Wörgl, klinkt bekend? Alles op de locale B-wegen lekker rustig, geen tol, veel te zien. Helaas, ondanks dat ik in Kufstein noch een rondje in de bergen heb gefietst was de rest van de dag bewolkt en met regen. Een ding, voor bergen hoef je niet naar Noorwegen, hier zijn ze ook impressionnantes! Plus dat de weg 80% door het dal gaat dus geen geklim of haarspeldbochten. Aangekomen in Tirol, via de Tirollerhighway, geparkeerd in de buurt van Ladis, waar we al een tijdje een bergstroom volgde, helaas weing stop mogelijk heden, of slecht aangegeven en dan ben ik er al voooorbij…. oeps. De afstand naar de Zwitserse of Italiaanse grens is ongeveer hetzelfde, maar in die uithoek van Zwitserland ben ik nog niet geweest, dus wagen we het erop..’

Als ich aangekomen bin war das wetter noch positiv, heute morgen noch auf fahrrad den fluss entlang, die brucke hoch und am andere seite biss zum Tiny gefahren, siehst du ihm? Ich frohe mich wieder in ein land zu sein wo ich die sprache sprechen kann, das war die letzte zeit schwerig, in Pologne absolut kein wort uber die grenze, Slowaky genau so bis an der grenze mit das Reich im Osten? Worum den wohl, weil die da ihr geld verdienen,,, Leider ist jetzt regen angesagt, das heisst kein fahrrad fur mich, also berechne ich den weg zum nachsten paradis, das Schweitzer land gefull’.

Malgret les soucis concernant ces vignets, ce que restent une mystère, en approchant Bratislava la température a forte augmentée jusqu’à 32,5 dégréé. J’ai chercher un endroit bord de l’eau et a trouver SENEC, a mémoriser, etang avec libre stationnement par tout, donc il y a du monde, mais une eau claire et rafraîchissant avec accès facile,, je suis rester le week-end. Demain direction Vienne, Austria. Acheter quand même ce vignet au cas ou que mon GPS m’amene au mauvais direction. Ce que est à nouveau imbecil est que la facture est identique a celle de Slowakye, même tarif, mais le pays n’est pas indiqué?

But seriously guys, paid 8 euros parking overnight, 11€ for a vignet and another 12 for toll routes I don’t even want to take, this being the lazy updates on google maps and me being misdirected as my gps is secured to avoid toll roads? These figures are not correct I paid more, so for those really reading: there’s a vignet to be on roads of Slowaky, this I bought for the duration of 10 days. But if you take one or more of the paid roads you have to subscribe and pay another vignet which is only valid 7 days?? Am I making sense, I will be after given the nutcase label.
Dit is heel jammer, ik ga niet iedere keer als ik een grens overga, al is t voor 20km, kijken of daar een vignet nodig is, daar naast zijn de weg updates ivm snelheden en tol ook niet updated dus we rijden constant in een fuik! Zapokane is absoluut kampeerverbod vanwege de enorme hoeveelheid toeristen. Ik heb een parkeerplaats gevonden op het terrein van een Waterpark?? Ja een gigantisch gekkenhuis inclusief disco eetgelegenheid you name it. Maar ook camperaars willen weleens zwemmen, dus parkeren mag ook, zelfs snachts, en dat voor een habbekrats. Plan was vandaag 8 uur naar een camping te gaan ter plaatse waar je dicht bij de skilift zou zijn voor het Downhill verhaal. Er stond al zoveel file dat ik doorgereden ben naar Slowakye, de grensovergang van Polen naar Slowakye bleek een klein bruggetje, max 3T5 en 3M hoog, dat past net. En ook daar weer ontzettend veel wandelaars. Krulspelden haarpinnen en boven gekomen meteen een grote parkeerplaats met fietsmogelijkheid : Zdiar. We slapen hier en plannen de volgende stap: Wenen.
Theo wir fahren nach Lodz. In ieder geval er dichtbij vind ik een aantal officiële camper parkeerplaatsen, gratis zelfs, helaas kunnen de voorzieningen alleen met zloty, cash, betaald worden, maar het is mooi aangelegd. Rond de ruïne van een kasteel uit 1733. Jammer dat de parkeerplaatsen zo dicht aan het voetpad liggen waar op deze zondag veel bezoekers komen, het voelt alsof we een deel van de voorstelling zijn.
It has been an most remarkable day, having left the bike park and it’s recent an modern investments, I found myself quickly on a most pre-war route! Not talking about cemeteries but realy awful maintained local roads. Including strange road signs, ie, telling you to slow down, but not when you are allowed to speed up again? On top of that they must have missed out some Google updates because all my GPS’s indicate different speeds limits. Luckily I have only spotted ONE speed RADAR up to now. Due to unreliable information on parking spots I ended up further, and much later, in the town called PLOCK. Well Plock it, where you would imagine something reasonable this town is immense, and has a commercial area 10 times the size of zuidplein, perpignan, perigueux. The Leroy Merlin is bigger than wherever, and the same goes for Auchan? Aren’t those French companies? And there’s no difference in prices with France, checked it, didn’t buy anything except Vodka, and not cheap.
Cheapness, Plock me I am clean. Crazy MF.. Who the Plock do you think you are, and where? It is however a eye opener and where I would have expected raw nature there is deserted little villages with loads of restrictions. Police only to block my way around town for some reason unknown. Bah, not my favourite area.

We have changed sides, countries, continents, languages, temperatures, monedas and lots more. A ferry to Poland being near the same price as the infamous Sontsbridge thus avoiding Denmark, taking us to new destinations, made the decision easy. But the adaptation: Where the Swedish drove slow the polish like to be formula 1 drivers, the language stays a blur, incomprehensible, shame, they do speak English! Today in comparison to yesterday is an energetic and sweaty experience; the ferry took close to 12 hours of relaxing which became a bit boring, so come well prepared, you are not allowed in the camper and the gaz needs to be turned off, I lost some seafood and icecream no réal loss, But hey , we learn,,,So today was a working day: got the gaz filled, diesel as well, found a source for water, and did a washing. Yeah wow, clean everything! Near impossible in Sweden and Norway.. And an A plus is Aldi besides Lidl, got me some Polish beers 🍺 no more 3.5 we go for 6.0.. WELCOME TO THR CONTINENT show me the way.. No Idea where this takes us, thunderstorm close, but temperature very heavy, I would enjoy a good splatter’’ Shame to see that my internet provider keeps upping the price because he feels I am spending too much time abroad, have to find an option for that in the future. Ah small remark, our Yorkshire friends informed me bout an international Credit Card: Monzo? Well maybe yes, but not yet for the mainland.
Sweden has it all, but probably more mosquitoes. What they have as well is many, many camping cars, the Swedish I mean. Of course there are a lot of Germans as well, less Finnlandais, Dutch but mostly in normal cars(hotel, airbnb or 2ndhomes?) English we see very view, and who did I end up with: Paul’s neighbours from Yorkshire, Yorki’s or are those just those obnoxious little dogs?
So we’ve been having nice weather ever since we crossed the border from Norway, drove along the coast, B-roads nice and slow, from along and through Gotenburg nearly to Malmo is horse country with beaches like the middle west coast of France, with shallow tides, and old windmills. More inland nice parking on these local bathing lakes is where I met the Yorkshire couple, forgot their name, forgot to take a picture, that’s me. So we’re on our way to Karlskrona, details later, stopped to do some shopping again next to a huge Ikea, well the whole shopping centre was immense so no wonder. Drove on to Olofström, where it was getting hot, wrong parking but loads of recreational activities, canoeing hiking and BIKING yepp. Unloaded and got to it, rounded the lake, contemplating to stay another day. Nice for U guys too to walk.

KRISTIANSUND, watch out there’s also KRISTIANSAND. In the neighbourhood of Trondheim on the coast they wanted to link lots of island by train, didn’t work out, so now it’s simply a road,ATLANTERHAVSVEGEN,and some call it the most scenic beautiful coastal road. Well, been there, drive it, even slept on it,,, then I drove on to the TROLLSTIGGEN, which is a hairpin mountainroad of spectacular narrowness. Near impossible with the amount of tourist busses. i saw one camping car having discussions with one of these busses😎. Well I got to the top had a wash in one of the many waterfalls, and decided to spend the night to wake up in a cloud with zero visibility. Luckily it was 06.00 so alone on the road together with some sheep.. Plan was to drive on to GEIRANGER FJORD. Again the most beautiful fjord in Norway. Well they obviously made it impossible to park or spend the night in a camper. So either Hotel or turn around.. So I went the TROLLSTIGGEN down as well, so that counts double, NO? Yes these fjords are beautiful and impossible to get around, and underneath costs money, so unfortunately I have hit the E6 again with all it’s tolls and ended near 500km further east in Sweden with much better weather and straighter roads.
JAMSTLAND, wilde ik absoluut bezoeken, vanwege zijn ruige natuur, de vele mbt trails en de grootste waterval van Zweden?. Ik heb vanuit Noorwegen een behoorlijke omweg genomen om de E6 te mijden. Dus van Norway to Swedeen en heb daar een tunnel getroffen met één enkele baan. Tegemoetkomend verkeer moest in inhammen opzij. Daarna was de weg langs het immense meer was identiek eenbaans! TRUDGING ALONG THE TUNDRA MILE AFTER MILE!….Via Ostersund naar Åre alwaar dit skieoort te vinden is. Een parkeerplaats direct voor een reservaat met wandelpaden, heerlijk rustig. Meteen op zoek naar mogelijkheden, en jawel, een paar verbodsborden negerend kwam ik plots voor TRAILS, de cobra, schitterend, en ook weer eenvoudig de weg terug gevonden naar Tiny, wel een beetje klimmen. De volgende dag meteen weer op de fiets en ditmaal een Trail hoger genomen, wederom WOW, de stoelliften waren nog niet eens in werking gezet.. Even opgefrist en op naar de GROOTSTE WATERVAL VAN ZWEDEN,, okay, imposant maar dit kan niet de grootste zijn, er word ook gesproken over de SEVEN SISTERS! Nou ja hier wat foto’s:
En dat zijn niet de lengte en breedtegraad van de noordpoolcirkel, nee, de temperatuur begon vandaag met 6°C… en kwam niet hoger dan 12°.
Oke, dit deel ging door het binnenland en omhoog over een plateau waar zelfs nog sneeuw lag, wild water rivieren waar ik een wrak van een jaren ‘20 auto vond? Het arme echtpaar, uitgedost voor een luxe vakantie, geslipt in de sneeuw en in het ravijn gestort, ik zie het helemaal voor me. Zelfs nu, in de zomer deze rivier wild, wild, wild. Hoe zou dat eruit zien in de winter.
Elke 3/4 km een parkeerplaats om wat te doen? Er is nix, en bij die rivier komen is niet meer mogelijk want er ligt een spoorlijn tussen. Jammer anders had ik graag een bad genomen. Saai was t niet, ben met 65 km/t (tinn=uur) op de cruiscontrole dit plateau over gegaan, tot ergenis van sommige. Maar er was niets, huis nog steeg. Geen beest, rendier of eland te zien….tot op de laatste landweg waar plots zo’n enorm beest stom staat te zijn in het midden van de weg!! Hij schrok gelukkig meer dan ik😎
Het laatste stukje langs de zee, reeds 220 km onderweg, dacht ik te kunnen vissen met de nieuwe ‘leurs’ blijkt dat daar ook die treinrails me de toegang tot de zee blokkeren. En dus ook een rustige overnachting. Ik ben dus van de E6 afgegaan om dit naaktstrand te bezoeken, alhoewel strand? En naakt? Foto volgt.
Frappant dat zelfs op afgelegen plekjes hier goed internet is.
The first roadsign indicating Trondheim said 1000km, they must have been eager to get there because you cannot miss it. The second sign, this morning, said 800km, so now it’ll be 600km. The E6 is the one and only coastal road, a two lane blacktop. Don’t misunderstand me; one lane south, one lane north, 80km/t max. If not indicated otherwise. To be honest it is no fun. The Swedish were slow on their own E4, now they are speeding and overtaking even in these tunnels! On top of which the weather is grey and wet, cold as well if you do get the chance to step outside. The E4 is it’s Swedish twin with the difference that you can take other smaller roads inland, the north of Norway is maybe 60km wide and consists of mountains non habitated so no roads! National Parks with interdiction signs and waterfalls that block the way, nice to look at from below, no more. So after today’s Narvik to Fauske, close to 200km and a stiff neck, tunnelfobia has made it’s entry. I must have gone through 20 odd tunnels. They are two cars wide and never very straight, some climing and then descending, lorries coming towards you with hardly room to pass. And then suddenly it ends in a very bright daylight… Have stopped at several places, met a woman with her boy fishing crabs who told me it was the worsed summer since they bought, but all places right next to the E6, this one has the view but also the lorries at 3 meters.

No jokes or song texts today, it has been on and off with the weather, which suited me fine, one day cold the next sunny, but now it’s been 3 days drizzle and cold as well, hardly above 12° is not comfy. And it makes that you keep driving and this missing maybe some interesting stuff. I drove through Narvik which is pretty big and not very interesting, drove past Tromsô because it’s on an island and you’ld ferry there and back for what? Parked here and there, where it looked okay, tried to bike but found no tracks, but only these locals selling souvenirs. Watched the tides coming and going, now at a parking where the water is clear as glass, if tomorrow is just that much better I’ll go for a swim and catch me some fish..
Aujourd’hui c’est que des ciels et la nature, la route solitaire avec parcours dans zone militaire avec arrestation, oui, pas le droit de s’arrêter. Bien sortie et continuer a faire des photos 😎 ils me suivent maintenant, moi le roi du retraite!!
Arriver a une aire de camping cars avec belles emplacements, toilets, eau potable, je reste la nuit. Chercher des petites bois pour allumer bbq et griller des saucisses piquantes, la vie belles des fois..

KIRUNA(GAS)-FINLAND-NORWAY
Anders gezegd van Skandinavië naar Lapland en door naar de Nordkapp. Heel wat kilometers gemaakt zodat het einddoel nu beter in zicht komt en we ervoor en tijdens kunnen afremmen en genieten.
Another 200 miles to go, hands wet on the wheel, weinig verkeer des te meer muggen, gelukkig werkt dat spul wat ik gekocht heb, maar dat neemt dat gezoem niet weg 🦟 Nog een paar rendieren gezien die allemaal halsbandjes hadden?
BOROMIR is vertrokken samen met FRODO en SAMWISE, op zoek naar rendieren….
En die lagen net een dutje te doen op deze stuwdam, daarmee verder verkeer blokkerend. Maar de NOORDPOOLCIRKEL zijn ze voorbij..

No Worries we hebben genoten van LULEÅ. Allereerst het naaktstrand dat grensde aan een militair museum en landingsbaan, dat wilde ik wel van dichtbij zien, daarbij bleek dat er een hoop mensen op een eilandje woonde en hun auto aan de wal lieten, om met een roeiboot over te steken. Dit rondje om het vliegveld voelde alsof ik een spion was, maar schitterende natuur en mijn tweede eland gespot. Om niet elke dag hetzelfde te zien ben ik naar de andere kant van LULEÅ gegaan en ben daar op een trainingsbaan voor skilaufen gestoten, inclusief schietbaan voor de triathlon.. Daar vond ik oefen banen voor het zomerseizoen, geasfalteerd, daarnaast banen die alleen met sneeuw te doen waren, plus nog een een veel groter aantal wandel en of mountainbike paden.. MAW ik heb me uitgeleefd.. ROOTS, ROCKS & REGGAE alsof Marley erbij was. Terug naar het strand voor een dip en toen naar POSTNED waar bleek dat brief nog steeds niet was aangekomen. Inpakken en en route…
Heb HAPARANDO rechts laten liggen, terwijl me deze plaats al 600km van te voren werd genoemd, we gaan richting JOKKMOKK net over de noorder poolcirkel. Waar we nu 35km vandaan zijn op een schitterende plek waar we onze eerste BBQ hebben gemaakt, dat hadden we veel eerder moeten doen..

Middle three, I went to Lulea centre to find there’s a fair this weekend, to be heard on the other side where I am camping now! Must be funny if it doesn’t get dark! Lulea is a harbour intensive town, not spectacular maybe just this shoreline full off bars and restaurants.
Bottom left, another SYSTEMBOLAGET, one thing I noticed is that they have more choices in whisky I have ever seen, and not just the one bottle! Another thing is, they can double the price of a cheap bottle, but they won’t do it on an expensive one, so it’s wiser to buy single malt. Maybe I’ll stay a bit longer to test some of the others as well.

Dat ik overal wel kan overnachten, dit dan inland not on the shoreline. Maar er zijn zoveel schitterende meren, bossen, wouden, en die alle tesamen natuurlijk…
Die bloem was een plek aan een meer heerlijk alleen gestaan, de volgende dag rustig op weg en even gepauzeerd bij een plek aan een dam, toen verderop een brug over -wild river- gestopt en langs deze wild water rivier gefietst waar naar zalm wordt gevist en gekanod, i love the way the swedish embellish their environment, kijk goed naar de foto met de dwergen/hobbits, weer verder naar een ongelovelijk stille plek aan de tand van een natuurgebied, alwaar je een treinspoor over moet om een smalle landtong te bewonderen een meer in tweeen deelt, aan het eind kon je met een roeiboot naar het vaste land. Wow.
Mijn eerste Eland gespot, kanjemzien? En weer zo’n mooie spot, but the show must go on…

Moved on to inland lake with this fabulous beach, had another walk towards caves and had a bath and shave on the boardwalk, water seems soft here? Also a reddish color. After closing the door which I thought were dressing rooms turned out to be a sauna which you could use!!! And Clivius Multrums everywhere….
